Frank provides blazing demon-on-vampire supernatural action while furthering the Nightwalkers’ struggle against evil necromancy in the sixth installment (after 2008’s Noah) of her popular, richly imagined series. Leah, first Child of Time and daughter of demon enforcer Jacob and druid Isabella, transports her demon uncle Adam forward from 400 years in the past to prevent her parents’ death at the hand of necromancer Ruth and her consort, Nicodemus. Struggling to comprehend the present day and its peculiar mores, including acceptance of cross-race couplings, Adam soon reconnects with Jasmine, a seductive vampire who tempted him during the Vampire Wars. Delicious tension builds to intense and unusual sex scenes exploring the interface of Adam’s flowing water nature and Jasmine’s erotic feeding. Frank’s fans will be thrilled to see her return to the Nightwalkers in such fine form.
