This Christian-centric memoir from iconic television personality Gifford features an introduction by Dolly Parton, celebrity-studded anecdotes, and personal stories that run the gamut from hilarious to heartbreaking. Her purpose is to show readers that it's never too late to start over, chase a dream, or accept Jesus into their lives. Short, breezy chapters, including one devoted to her first marriage, a topic she's previously avoided, follow her career trajectory and detail her current scriptwriting, filmmaking, and directorial efforts. She's generous with praise for family, friends, husband Frank, and other colleagues (well, not Dinah Shore or Tammy Faye Bakker). Gifford comes across as honest, vulnerable, inspiring--and always entertaining. She shows how she poured the pain of dark times (tabloid scandals, Frank's infidelity, a failed Broadway show) into her song lyrics, which are, along with bible verses, invoked throughout the book. She gently offers advice, shares turning points in her faith, and ends with a series of endearing episodes featuring mega-stars like Paul Newman, Al Pacino, Billy Graham, and Howard Stern. A final chapter includes a touching tribute to Regis Philbin. Expect lots of publicity and rest assured that Kathie Lee's many fans will be delighted.Women in Focus: The 19th in 2020
